Submission deadline has been extended to end of September
Under the patronage of His Highness Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Khalifa Empowerment Program for Students (Aqdar) and Nissan Middle East have joined forces to launch the 'Aqdar Drive Safely' program, a university student-driven initiative that is being held in collaboration with "RoadsafetyUAE".
The program aims to both engage and reward young drivers, instilling safety and awareness in the minds of youth. As an 'for students by students' initiative, this unique program empowers university students to become 'Agents of Change' in their communities.
This year's theme will be on the 'Usage of Mobile Phones while Driving'
We are aware that the success of any youth-oriented initiative depends on the youth themselves. Accordingly, it widely opened the door for the youth to be traffic safety ambassadors to their peers, linking this ambassadorship to great cash rewards and to their ideas implementation.
Student submissions for the 'Aqdar Drive Safely' program will be reviewed by specialist jury and judged on a number of factors including sustainability, style, reach and effectiveness.
To help drive engagement, Nissan is encouraging everyone to take a pledge on the program website or during the road shows visiting numerous locations across the UAE.
